With the participation of 32 UAE and Indian companies from the food and agriculture sectors
The UAE Food Cluster has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) alongside the announcement of a US$12 million (₹100 crore) food processing investment by Dubai-based Flour Masters International, marking a new phase of UAE-India collaboration in food processing, packaging, cold-chain infrastructure and agricultural exports. The agreements were announced during the UAE–India Business Forum held in Andhra Pradesh, India, in July 2026.
The business forum was organised by the UAE Food Cluster in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh and brought together more than 32 companies from the UAE and India representing food processing, agriculture, logistics and allied industries. The event formed part of an official UAE economic delegation led by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, and was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Under the MoU, the UAE Food Cluster and APEDB will collaborate to attract investment, facilitate trade, strengthen institutional partnerships and promote innovation across food manufacturing, value-added processing, packaging, agritech and resilient supply chains. The partnership also seeks to enhance exports of horticultural products from Andhra Pradesh while encouraging UAE companies to establish food processing operations in the state.
As the first investment under the partnership, Flour Masters International will invest US$12 million (₹100 crore) to establish a food processing facility at Gangadhara Nellore in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The plant is expected to process horticultural produce including mangoes, bananas, cocoa and other crops into value-added products for international markets. The project is also expected to support modern packaging operations, cold-chain logistics and export-oriented manufacturing capabilities serving global food markets.
The initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to strengthen food security through international partnerships while positioning Andhra Pradesh as a regional hub for food processing, packaging, logistics and agricultural exports. Officials from both sides said the collaboration would create new opportunities for investment, technology transfer and integrated food value chains connecting Indian producers with global markets.
